is it true that you can disconnect the dephaser if you have changed your cams?
Budgie 330i. E30 Touring. Oct 1, 2015 #2 You can't 'disconnect' it i don't think. But i believe some people have either used two exhaust pulleys, or verniers in BIG spec builds. On the most part (ie, if it's a road car in anyway) pointless - you'd lose more driveability than you gain in anything else. As you lose VVT iirc.
