Dephaser Pulley?

Hi I've recently purchased a Renault 172 cup 53 reg and didn't notice until it was warm that it has a very noticeable ticking noise on idle which dissapears when the engine is above 2k ish rpm. I've read loads of posts and have come to the conclusion that its probably the dephaser pulley that requires attention? My question is this, I am in Littlehampton West Sussex, is there any specialist garages/mechanics local to me that would be able to diagnose/repair the fault easily as I don't want to take to a local garage that might need lots of time to find the problem. The cam-belt was changed last year less than 8 thousand miles ago, by a local garage, I didn't own the car then to know if the engine made the noise beforehand unfortunately! Thanks

Maybe worth doing the cambelt again if the dephaser is been done

btw, i don't know if the dephaser has been done as i've got no paperwork to say it has been done with the cam belt as it was a cash deal

No garage should refit an old kit, no matter how many miles it has done as it would be a warranty nightmare.
