Dephaser Run-out

Hi Gents,

has anyone checked to see how much runout/eccentricity on the dephaser?

I have just done a top-end rebuild after a belt failure. when searching for an oil leak I had the top engine mount off with the engine running, and I noticed the (new) dephaser has a clear wobble as it goes around. not put a dial on it yet but it looks like up to 1mm. surely this can't be right?

looks like i'll be taking the belt off again anyway as i think/ hope the exhaust cam seal is leaking. (if not it's more serious)

Thanks
Tom

Yer I did change the seals, thought I had them in ok, but after researching on here now, I may have pushed them to far in. (Got oil running down the back of the block right on the corner nearest the belt)

No play in the dephaser that I could tell, seemed like a solid peice to me.
