dephaser

Car  clio 182
just done my cambelt at weekend checked the dephaser and there was the slightest movement rotation wise is this normal or does it want the dephaser changing cheers

where did you get your belt done and how much as im geting mine done and from the same area? did you get just the belt or the whole cam kit and the aux kit etc ? cheers

hi mate did the job myself (im a mechanic) just got the cambelt kit (£70) as it was all done prior to me buying the car just not very well so i did it again lol

oh right ok cheers, and the lads on here tend to say do the dephaser along side the cam n aux kit :)

there was very slight play in my dephaser when changing belts it on 36k 2 years ago. Didnt change it, now on 50k and still going strong. So going on that must be fairly nomal but never compared it to a brand new one. With you being a mechanic wait for it to sound like a diesel and change it then
