Df014 fault code

hi, has anyone had this fault code before? Code reader says DF014 canister purge solenoid valve circuit. Any info appreciated. EML light is also on with this code present.

Yes the canister has been removed but the top bit is plugged in with on of the pipes blanked off.

Like this, pipe on the right is plugged off

My EML light has just come on tonight on the way home and my canister is still intact.

Need to dig a bit deeper unless somebody knows what’s happening.
