Diagnosing a speed-related judder?

Hello all,
I've had my 172 Cup for about a month now, and have noticed a shuddering through the wheel at higher speeds - from about 70 upwards. It's not major, but it's definitely there.

Obviously I want to sort it, but I'm aware that there are several things that it could be, from alignment to wheel balancing to driveshafts to all sorts of things. Does anyone know:

A) the most common causes of such symptoms on Clios, and/or

B) the best order in which to check things, and rule them out?

I have exactly the same problem mate. I'm going to change the wheel bearing on the side I think it is (O/S) and will report back.

Same speed as well. at 90 its probably at it's worst. Below 60 I don't notice it.

Mine is not balancing as I've tried 3 different sets of wheels so can only be driveshaft or bearing. I highly doubt it would be tracking causing a judder, that will just destroy tyres.

I'm in Bexhill. I've yet to try anything to sort it, but don't want spend unnecessarily if there's a best way of sorting it, or a best order of determining the cause.

It was looked after by a reputable Renault specialist before I bought it so I'm pretty confident it's nothing major, but perhaps something has worn or just needs adjusting. I'm not mechanically minded enough to speculate as to what.

Was wondering if an alignment might help to start the investigation - it can't hurt, I guess?

Well that's odd I was in bexhill last night (not any more though) and am down there quite a bit. Tracking never goes a miss just to be sure but make sure it's on a decent system with a print out, not a cheapy. Hunter system or something similar.

you can check the wheel bearings by jacking the car up, holding your hand on the spring and spinning the wheel. You can feel any roughness in the spring. Very easy. Compare both sides.

not sure how to test a driveshaft. I wish I did
