Diagnostics Port location

Can anyone tell me where the diagnostics port is on the mk2 ph1 please? ive got a scanguage to plug into the OBDII port and im not sure where to look

cheers mate, does it need to be removed then? (i havent been out to look yet)

just open the ash tray and lift it out, the socket sits on the floor, think it has a little plastic cover on it, but its obvious when you do it

Cheers for that, found it. Problem is that the device i plug in doesnt seem to connect to the car. It is OBD2 compatible isnt it?

You can only access it 100% with Renault CLIP ( diagnostics software )

With "universal" type gauges you can only access a certain number of options, if you can... :-\

Ah ok, cheers for that mate. Bit annoying really, was hoping to avoid the £85 renualt want to plug in the PC!!
