Did the valver have an alarm

As mine dont seem to have one but , when i use my central locking and then leave the car but leave the window or sunroof open , and then i put my arm or something flies into the car , all the indercators flash around the car but no sound?

Anyone else heard of this?

yes thats the alarm, u have the siren turned on silent, its in the engine bay, under the flap by the washer bottle, you should have a little key for it.

i thought the key on the siren disabled the complete alarm not just the siren.
on mine it only flashes the hazards etc so ill have a play at the weekend and see if i can get the siren working. i cant see a siren anywhere though. Where would it be situated?

on an old valver it will be under the bonnet somewhere probably near the battery.some are in the scuttle panel as well.yours sounds like the alarm works but there is a siren fault, either the siren itself or the wiring to the siren.

wouldnt be surprised if its the wiring tbh. its not near the battery so i assume it must be in the s panel. ill have to have a good old butchers

the siren will have 3 wires:-

red-battery positive

black-earth

the remaining wire is the siren activation wire from the alarm ecu.
