Did you give your 1*2 full acceleration in your test drive?

I got complemented on my double-declutching by one saleswoman, she didn't seem to bat an eyelid however I drove... May have to pop back there and see if I can blag a Megane 225 for an hour or so.

I never test drove my 182 at all, went down looked round it knew it drove cos the guy drove it into his drive from his work. Said i'd take it done the deal drove off his drive. Never booted it till next day after i'd had a good sleep and loved it. Booted it more when the exhaust blow got sorted tho. Love it more and more each day. But at the bak of my mind i think of selling till i drive it again lol

Yeah, on another test drive, I floored it and was quickly catching up with traffic ahead and they guys just sat there saying it goes quick.

This guy was a nobber tho. Not his company, working for a very small trader (3/4 ppl), lounging about, office was a mess, wasn't offered a seat, claiming 8mm of tread when clearly about half that, dressed in trackies and spoke like a yob. Even the owner wasn't that good. Acting like the sun shone out of their arses, ended up just using them as practise for the next car I'll be seeing tomo, a nice flamer.

When I took mine for a test drive the chap couldn't big the car up enough! Naturally, I obliged.

Test drove the Salesmans managers 182 before ordering mine, he encouraged me to push on and was happy for me to take it on my own favourite Seven Bends test route at wish point he stopped the sales patter and just held on - they got an order for a new one soon after on that drive alone.

A fair few years back when looking for a 106 GTi I test drove a Saxo VTS as I guessed apart from the looks it would drive the same, the old chap n the passenger seat was no impressed as we got some lift over a crest !

I changed up at 3000rpm when testing the turbo as I couldnt go out alone.lol.

Saw another 172 yesterday. When it came to test drive, guy just gave me the keys and said down there is a decent road.

Needless to say it got pushed hard. I was fairly sensible as brakes and tyres didnt seem great. But put a big smile on my face, shame about the rest of the car

I didn't test drive my actual 182 as I ordered it from new, but any car I test drive I will do. The salesman was telling to when I had a go in a Megane 225 and R26!

1st test drive I got told to go and and drive it like I stole it.

Tbh, I drove it 'fast' but probably like a pussy because it felt so quick compared to a 1.2.

I test drove a 182 a few years ago and the salesman was cool, taking us off onto cool windy bits of road.

My ph1 I test drove carefully as I'd not driven a 'quick' car before, so then asked the owner if he could take me for a proper spin.

My Cup I gave some beans a couple of times, but know them well enough now to know that it all felt straight and solid so a couple heavy accelerations in 2nd/3rd was enough.

she told me to slow down as she was going on holiday later that night and did not want to miss her flight by ending up in casualty
i went back with a big smile on my face and bought it...
she went back as white as a ghost..
