Two weeks after I get to the desert my bloody iPod gives up the ghost On startup now I get an icon of an iPod with an unhappy face. I've tried resetting and that does nothing and running the diagnostics menu it would appear that I have a problem with the HDD, it fails to write and I don't even think it 'see's' it anymore.
Before I strap it to a bomb and send it to the Taliban has anyone experienced this or indeed found a remedy for it?
