diesel only in a 182

hi went to a car parts place today for some oil and when he put in my reg it recomended Castrol Edge 5W40 Turbo Diesel oil is this right? :S thanks

They use 5-40 oil, but not diesel oil.

"diesel" oils are the same, but adhere to higher standards normally.

If you look at any 5w40 it will have an ACEA rating of something like A3/B3 or A3/B4. the A refers to petrol engine standards, the B refers to Diesels.
