Difference between 195 and 205 tyres

Hi all - I need 2 new fronts and am going to replace the crap nankangs that the previous owner put on (absolutely awful in the wet)!! I havnt had to put new tyres on my 182 yet and was just wondering does it make any difference if i go for the 195/45/R16 V (as recommended by tyre websites when i enter my car details in) or the 205/45/R16 V ones which seems to be the choice on here! Also not bothered by the £10 odd difference between the two.

172 models had 195 tyres , the 182 come with 205 , i'd advise the 205's on your 182 tbh . Some 172 owners have moved upto the 205 tyres .

10 quid is not alot of difference

it's a 182 so is fitted with 205's as standard. The 195's are standard on the 172. The 10mm difference is worth it IMO.

turinis shoulf be 7J16, so yes 205's will fit

205's will give the wheels a little more protection but if the car is heavily lowered then 195's might be better to give more clearence on the arches
