Difference in looms?

What is the difference between valver and willy looms?

Have a new engine and have been told to use the 16v loom but its a bit tatty and TBH i CBA to swap them over.

Have heard of cars not running when using a different looms and dont want to risk this, also have a clifford will this be cut ito the loom at anypoint?

Use the loom appropriate to the ECU. I'd prefere the Williams loom stripped of the extra weight it carriers.
