Dilemma

So I'm looking to upgrade to a MacBook Pro 13"

I know that as my Mid 2012 can no longer update I need to move on and here is the spec of it

Now as the newer MacBooks are non upgradable and are hard to mess around with im torn between what to do.

Do I go for the following at a rough cost of £1500

MacBook Pro 13"
2020
Touch Bar
16GB Memeory
1TB SSD storage
Intel Core i5 10th Gen (2.00 GHz Turbo Boost To 3.8GHz)
4 x Thunderbolt 3

Or do I just buy the new MacBook Pro 13" M1 at £1899 from apple.

I have a similar issue although mines a 2009 MBP 😆 think I’ve had my money’s worth though.
I have no idea what to get.

Buy an M1 air you mentalist!

No touch bar. No fan!

As above M1 air.

If you fit thermal pads it’s actually faster than the pro.

Even without voiding the warranty you had to hammer an air to defeat it. Marc possibly requires the pro but if you've been using an old pro no way do you need a pro over air.

Space grey air. 16gb ram and 512 storage if required.

It has to be 1TB SSD or more.

I have never priced or even looked at an air.

I know the air does not come with a fan but why does the cheaper air kick the Pro's ar$e ??
