Dings and scrapes :(

Have a few scrapes on the car at the moment but am a bit unsure as to how to get them sorted out.

First one is on the front arch thanks to some blind mare who pulled in the side of me whilst I was overtaking her..then proceeded to drive off. Thanks.

Caused by the same woman that small dent was.

But just above that my missus did this in Tesco Car-park Wind caught the door and bang straight into the trolley park barrier

I was wondering if one of those dent wizard guys might be able to work some magic on the small dent on the passenger side and the larger one above??

Also he might be able to touch up the front arch at the same time?? I contemplated getting a touch-up kit myself and touch it up, wet sanding then PC'ing it back but unsure if my results will be good.

Only reason I want to sort this out is because the car will be going up for sale soon. Or is it not worth me paying to sort it out and sell it a bit cheaper then what I "think" its worth??

I'd be interested to see if anybody knows aswell. I have exactly the same dent as you on the edge of the door, it took the paint off and the previous owner decided to touch it up with a completely different colour paint

need a dent man to sort the door out,

The paint will need a respray/ Blend in...

Seeing as its being repainted the body shop could probably straighten the door then fill it.

I've sorted a dent on my door edge with a hammer and a block of wood lol! Came out ok tbh! Not quite as bad as yours mind

See I can't decide whether to just sell it as it is or spend say £200 on getting it done then not getting anymore for it.

I'd get it sorted, Any potential buyer will see it as neglect on the car and neglect on the car as a whole imo.

If i saw it id walk away, Or knock you down massively on price (unless obviously the price reflected it)

I think I'd struggle to see 3k if it was "repaired" maybe 2.5 now probably less

yea you will need to get a dent removal guy out to sort out the dents mate but unfortunately you will need to get all the rest of the stuff resprayed afterwards big jobs them im affraid

First thing you need to do is wipe that bird crap off. Secondly, dent guys will be able to take them dents/bends out. I know a guy whos great up near me.

f**k the dent guy idea off, Bodyshop is the way forward on that TBH mate! The doors creased on the edge

Bumper corner, Top half of the door and into the 1/4 to blend it in. Coat of Laquer over the base then 1 full coat over the lot will ensure the laquer dont change the colour on that side of the car

richy I dont think id bother for whats it going to cost you, just sell it for slightly cheaper imo.

I always reckon it's worth sorting problems on a car before selling. If you leave it, a potential buyer will knock off whatever the 'top whack' is for the cost of the repairs (and probably a bit more for their hassle.) As said they may also get the impression that there could be other stuff that needs doing that hasn't been noticed, and you'll end up with the worst price for the car.

I'd be looking at finding a good bodyshop and calling in to see them - can't do any harm.

Overall it depends how much the money means to you - it would be some hassle for you. It also depends how quickly you need to sort it - care must obviously be taken finding a bodyshop otherwise you could waste a lot of money and end up with a car that looks worse.

If it was me I'd be looking to get faults sorted before sale (other than maybe the usual, minor wear-and-tear you'd expect to find on any secondhand car) - I'd rather the money was in my pocket than somebody elses.

I think it'd actually be more cost effective to run that through a bodyshop. Not only would you get a better finish, but for that level of work, it's best to use a proper painter.

Bumper painting is cheap cheap. £200 will fix that.

Oh and dress the edge of your door up, it'll take your eye off it.
