Car: Megane Mk2 2008
Issue: Passenger side dipped beam not working - Has an aftermarket, but yet decent H.I.D. kit fitted (Nothing Chinese off eBay!)
Previous Info: Failed MOT on front pads and out of the blue both dipped beams not working. Took the car away assuming they did something wrong with they key card ignition / auto lights, as they were working. Took the car back after doing the front pads, no issues, 12 months MOT.
A couple of days after this, no dipped beam both sides, so there was an problem. I got to the fuses, both were fine, put it all back together, dipped beam was working again?
A month later, the passenger side dipped beam stopped working, so I assumed it was a bulb this time.
Things I have tried:
Another proven working bulb
Another proven working ballast
Checking every single fuse on the board (engine bay) and fitting proven ones
Ditching the whole H.I.D. kit, and fitting original Philips bulbs
Giving the main wiring plugs on the headlight a wobble whilst everything is on
Swapping the headlights left and right to see if the problem follows the headlight. It does not, and both work completely on the drivers side
Disconnecting the battery (Whilst checking all the fuses) and resetting the auto lights function on the stalk, also tried using the lights manually
So, at the stage now where using the car has to be planned, and if it's going to be likely to need the lights on... !
@bloke @STEVE.M @YorkshireKyle ?
Everyone's help on this is really appreciated
Thanks
Chris
