Distinct lack of Silver 182’s

Car  320d M Sport

anyone else noticed this?

weird as its by far the most popular 172 colour? dont think ive ever seen a silver 182?

the only one ive seen in silver is the one i test drove....pretty sure i havent seen one since.......

Sutton Park have a Silver one for sale for £14,999 I think. Theyve had it over a month now as it was there the last time I took mine in.

They also have a racing Blue striped 182 Cup.

I wonder if its because Titanium silver is quite dull compared to iceberg. Personally I prefer it, especially with the anthracite alloys.

I wanted a black one but when i saw the silver with anthracite alloys i had to have it!! i think it looks absolutley awsome.. if it wasnt an import (and i bought from dealer) i would have got a racing blue, but im well chuffed with mine.. wheel colour defo sets the bodywork off..

probably a bit of a backlash against the silver in the same way 255 vees seem to be mainly blacks and blues after a huge number of silver mk1s

yeah i think so.. prefer my silver though. its actually similar to the mk1 172 silver...

If its rarer thats fine by me!

yeah thought so...

easy to keep clean with the black wheels and silver paint.. always looks good. glad i didnt go for the black now!

:oscuse me, titanium is not dull compared to iceberg! :devilish:

i still like silver but prefer iceberg and seeing as ive got a mk2 172 in iceberg i cant have silver again so arctic blue it is

Id say it was more matt than the iceberg colour.. has absolutely loads of metalic in it so cant wait to see the sun on it properly polished etc....

Yes it is. Titanium is the same silver as my mates Toyota Yaris. Boring. Iceburg Silver is special.

;)

Had a silver 1.2....

Got an arctic 182...looks much better, stands out a lot more, showing off the badges on the bumpstrips ets...

Also the exhaust...and badges on the back

Personaly i think the silver looks too much like a 1.2...(or is that just because i used to have one)

Black is the worst for looking like a 1.2. Id never confuse an Iceburg 172 for a 1.2 because a) The didnt do 1.2s in Iceburg Silver b) 1.2s dont have body coloured bumpers/bump strips etc.

lol, I have a silver 182 and 2 x silver dynamiques and there aint no way you could confuse them. I really liked the silver 172 mrk 1 so was well chuffed to get the 182 in titanium. Was originally going to go for blue (artic) but there was a few 04 plates around Edinburgh so I thought Black then, but again theres a few about here (plus i thought it looked too similar to the cup which I see all the time). So..... I just couldnt convince myself about the racing blue (gordini) or what ever its called so I had one option left, Titanium cos I hadnt seen any titanium 182s in Edinburgh - not to say there isnt any I just havent seen them. So im pretty happy now cos I still only see silver 172s about. (still very cool) Plus, when you wash it, it sparkles like the crown jewels. hee hee

There are 2 silver 182s on our office carpark today, to go with the 4 172s and mine. Its like a Midlands meet here :)
