i was thinking (dangerous i know) but is there anyway to make like a metal airbox with 2 layers and use the space between the 2 layers as like a water jacket to cool it down ????
if you want effective cooling with water, you need to cool the water down, so you want a charge cooler but thats gonna cost a few £100 and is pointless on a N/A car, if you want a cooler inlet temp just buy a Viper/BMC, expensive but they work.
Yeah having the filter right down there is too far from the throttle body. So in other words youre better off just having a boxed filter element with a sealed feed down to the foglight hole.
