DIY painting of sideskirts

Hi guys

Spray painting my sideskirts today ..... gulp

just wondered how many coats of
Primer I should use?

any other advice or tips for me regarding my DIY painting would be appreciated thanks

theres a guide in the guides section mate, have a look at that (i think its "how to colour code bullets")

never done it myself but from what ive read id say just untill you get an even coat and there is no more black plastic showing? correct me if im wrong pros!

I gave mine 3 coats of plastic primer, wet and dry, 4/5 coats of paint and 4 coats of laquer. They turned out well, just keep going till it looks even

plastic primer? I just got a rattle can of grey primer from halfords? Will that be ok?

If you are painting over the existing paint then standard primer should be fine.

Am i right in thinking this paint can also be used to paint the side skirts/door strips?

Plastic primer can flex more without cracking i think. Its the same price as normal primer

yeah I know but I've primed it with normal primer as opposed to the plastic primer .... Some other folk on various forums saying it's not that big a deal but ideally plastic primer should havenbeen used, but guys who have used normal primer haven't had any negative side effects... Sonfingers crossed
