Yeah they are all coloured charge but are not really any different and they are more durable than people think.

It's all in the prep though mate. Pre-wax cleansers ect...

supposedly the colours are more of a gimmick and any wax will work on any colour paint, i'm wondering whether to go with the ones meant for white or just go for say the purple haze

That's good news. yeah i love thre smell too lol, i've got some Lime Prime i never used this even on my car just apply it like any other?

I dont have a machine polisher

As far as the Dodo Juice waxes go, I've tested quite a number and they just don't last. The Blue Velvet is the worst for longevity. Granted they look great, but I want more than 3-4 weeks from a wax. Super Natural is the only one I would buy. Personally.

Lp is a decent pre wax cleanser in my eyes, with a tiny amount of bite (by hand). Use as any normal polish prior to wax application. It still stays in my arsenal as it will correct Renault paint when used in conjuction with a decent pad and machine combo.

Depends on how often you like to wax your car. If you prefer to do it on a regular basis, like me, then Dodo is fine. Personally i use Supernatural and love it.

If however you want to wax your car every 2/3months you're better off with Collonite.

Once a month at the most regular tbh. Otherwise you'd just be wasting wax.

Personally, after a full machine etc i give the car 2 or 3 coats of wax. Then after the weekly wash give it some Red Mist. Top the wax up once a month.

Spot on advice!!

Collinite 476 looks awful on all cars. It is a winter wax at best. 845 is pretty good, but again, not best on looks. SuperNatural will last a heck of a lot longer than a month, so application once a month is not necessary, as it is a waste of wax.

If you can't get out to top up the protection on your car as much as you'd like, a sealant is the way forwards, such as Jeffs Carnauba Spray or Chem Guys Blitz. Look for a Carnauba based product, Geddes, as it will look superb on red. Try and stay away from Acryllic products such as Jeffs Acryllic Spray as it will not give as good a finish on colours such as ours.

Not quite.

Sorry, that sounds a wee bit "up my own arse"-ish. What I mean is it is good advice, but not quite 100%.

Kev -> xx

I found due to the miles I was doing and build up of dirt that has an effect on durability. Blue Velvet used to last a couple of weeks when i was doing 280 odd miles per week during the summer..build up of traffic film and dust etc.

If the car was waxed and left stationary it would last a lot longer (say a month at most) before the beading started to degrade.

Experiencing the same with colie 476 at the moment..been on about 2.5 months and its pretty much shot...but if you saw the state of the car you'd see why  (bloody salty/dirty back roads)

My windscreen washer gets topped up weekly at the minute.

How often do you wash Richy? I find using a QD after every (weekly) wash boosting my wax duribility.

  Bumder With A Buffer
Weekly. QD used too. Its just the amount of road grime/salt etc starts breaking down the wax after a certain amount of time. My car gets driven quite hard. Although it hasn't seen soap now for almost 2 months

Not quite.

I've been using the Chem Guys wet mirror finish and been using the Chem Guys EZ glaze with acrylic shine II, i've been one or the other past couple proper goes on the paint and not sure on the difference other than ones a Sealant the other is a Glaze

Will one of these do the job as you say JD (Carnauba based product) or is it diff

also i've never used the LP yet on my car since from new 7 years ago, i want to use it as there's many layers on my car now, will it even more so transform the colour/shine and so on after i sue this too?

What job are looking for Geddes fella?

The Wet Mirror Finish and Acryllic Shine are both polymer sealants and **I think** are both Acryllic - they will will outlast most waxes. The EZ Glaze is, as you've said, a glaze - a glaze being very useful to bring that added "je ne sais quoi" to the paint work. You can get glazes with and without fillers. Depends on your requirements. Many detailers will use a glaze but follow it up with an IPA wipedown after, ridding the paint of any fillers, but keeping the shine the glaze imparts.

For a flamer, I would prefer a Carbauba product, but I tell you now, you would have to stare at the two finishes (acryllic and carnauba) for hours to guess which one had had which product.

The products you have will be just fine for simple sealing. No point in selling and buying more :) Save some money for other areas :) Or petrol

i'm looking for a good reflection and a glossy wet finish that will stand out from the crowd, as many people have said i have good paintwork and still get people looking at my car as i drive past and also people coming up to my i saw your car and was amazed how shiny it is.

i've been putting either on glazeor sealant as i feel, is this wrong? i've been putting either on then the Do Do is this wrong to make potential?

how often should i put on the glaze or sealant which is best for me, same amount as the Do Do every couple month?

Glaze then wax with DD for that wet look Geddes. It'll be dripping wet especially if you get the creme glaze on by DA.

After every wash and dry, top with a really good QD.

My favourite Z6 is perfect for restoring that just waxed look in minutes after the car is cleaned and dried. :)

You could do it every 2 months imo. Or every 4 weeks.

Depends on the weather ect... I've had purple haze last 4 months with decent wash/qd routine.

nice one, i've learned new stuff now and will make more use now on the stuff i got and top up to make my car look better more of the time than before

I was pretty dissapointed with the beading of my Purple Haze PRO, it kind of sucked after 3 weeks / 600miles, compared to the Austintacious wax that was on another body panel of the car..

it's been said that Do Do Juice donst last very long like. Do Do is the fisrt wax i've tried so i can't compare with others at the minute. Other than that i quite like it presonally smells gorgoues though

if its a "waste of wax" to top up every week, what do you suggest to do in a weekly wash? Do i just wash and dry = done, as once i have done this the paint feels odd and unprotected?

cheers.

  Bumder With A Buffer
Get some water in a jug and after you have dried it pour it over the bonnet like below...if it runs off its fine. Basically free running water not through a jet or whatever.

If not then your shampoo maybe stripping the wax off

A Quik Detailer may help if its not the shampoo

I can't grasp what you mean by "odd" thats all.

  F56 MINI Cooper S
Well after I have waxed it, the paint feels smooth and gernerally nice like something would slip off it. Once nothing is applied it feels asif its never been waxed/polished before. I wash it every week and either polish or wax so there is deffo plenty on there.

  Bumder With A Buffer
Its not a case of "plenty on there" you could whack a whole pot of dodo juice on in one go..wont do anything to help protection other then waste product.

What are you using for polish/wax. Also when you say " I wash it every week and either polish or wax so there is deffo plenty on there." So your saying some weeks you just put polish on and other you put wax on? Wax always goes on last so if you polish it one weekend you should be putting wax on the same day. (its your LSP afterall!)

  F56 MINI Cooper S
No I do either or, sometimes wax sometimes polish it. I am currently using megs tech wax in a purple bottle from halfords, and top up every week - but what im saying is is do i need to do this every week, or will a wash (megs gold class) and dry be ok? Because as i said the paint doesnt feel nice when dryed off.

  Bumder With A Buffer
Do what I mentioned above jordi. Even a cup would do. If it runs off it's fine.

Just because it "feels funny" doesn't mean the protection isn't there.

What u may find is u actually feeling small tar spots or something and therefore claying should get rid of that.
