Do I need my hazard switch to work to pass mot?

Ive got my mot for the 26th of this month and what happens day after i book it.. hazard switch has now decided when its plugged in to the car that the hazards will not come off and it just stays on.. ive unplugged it for now but do i need it to work for the mot? or will i need to get a new one and hopefully it fixes it?
