P**sed off in a major way now.

Renewed my insurance in Jan on a turbo diesel but said i would be getting a 182 in a couple of months and can they give me a quote. said it would be about 800 and i said fine.

Anyway changed my car at the end of march, rang them up ... 1400 quid! (im 27 with 9 years no claims btw). They told me insurance changes on a monthly basis bla bla bla bla bla .. I said right cancel it then as i didnt have a leg to stand on, they said fine and charged me 60% of the annual premium for just 6 weeks insurance on my diesel... wa**ers!! (i paid them 390 for the year and they gave me 160 back)

Waited 6 weeks for the refund and am still waiting for my no claims bonus form! Bet i have rang them at least once a week for the past 10 weeks!!!!! Got all the names of the people i spoke to, times, dates, etc..

Thinking of seeing my solicitor now as i think they are laughing at me on the other end of the phone and im getting nowhere.

Just thought i would warn people!

PLEASE let everyone know who you know.

I will cost them a small fortune if its the last thing i do now!!

Damn thats steep and harsh

As a guide im 22 with 3yrs NCD and 3 x SP30s.

If i was to get a 182 and had 4yrs NCD it would cost me £1267.35 . Thats well steep mate

Just ask them for the address of the Insurance Ombudsmen (I think?) as that should give them a hint as to your intentions...

Sent a fax on Tuesday and mentioned the Financial Ombudsmen (Insurance ombudsmen no longer exists).... got my proof of no claims yesterday morning!!!

11 weeks! what a joke and it was even dated 29th March ...
