do shocks improve the ride?

  Italian 3.2 V6
hey,

recently there was a thread showing cars with apex springs (40mm drop) and they wer rated great for looks but basicly shite for ride. so, instead of just buying the springs, if you bought the suspension set, springs and shocks, would that make the ride any better?

it might sound stupid to some/most of you but i dont really no whats what, but thought i would ask just to find out.

thanks.

On the Escort RS Turbos, they were shite with just lowered springs but a lot better if you paired them with some uprated dampers.

Whether you buy a package of dampers and springs from one company or get the dampers from one company and the springs from another is up to you though!

the price of springs and shocks as a kit is quite expensive.

for a little bit more money you could get coilovers.
or if your on a budget just buy the springs.
