Do you have the standard headunit?

Car  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I see a lot of RS's with the standard headunit unit, even when they aren't track cars.

So was just wondering the amount of people that have the standard one.. If so why and if you don't then what you have? I have a Kenwood headunit, couple year old now but does the job. Thinking of going back standard though as it does look a bit odd!

Standard in the misses 182, always prefer a stereo to look factory to stop thieving scum spotting it and stealing it, and to be honest the factory setup doesn't sound bad anyhow.

the Trophy has no stereo atall, no head unit and no speakers :)

My car came with an aftermarket stereo from the beginning, and whilst I don't particularly care about stereos as long as they work, when it broke I replaced it with a Sony Xplod MEXBT2600, which is an excellent stereo for the price.

Bluetooth audio streaming > all. Handsfree is utter shite though.

I've got the standard cassette in with the Cd changer! Does fine.

Looking to upgrade to a iPod/iPhone stereo though soon.

I've always just had the standard headunit, upgraded my first clio from tape deck to cd player with cd changer! Now it's a tunepoint and standard headunit.

cant rig a sub to the standard head units tho :( or can you :O

Yes you can, obviously the quality will not be as good as using a good aftermarket head unit with a dedicated pre-out for the amp / sub but if your wanting to keep the oem look I've found they work just fine of the standard head unit

Currently got the standard headunit. I like the display and remote but I'll likely fit my BT HU when I can be bothered for the audio streaming if nothing else.

Whats a tune point?

I've got a connects2 - the choice for any right minded individual. 20 seconds to fit, retains headunit, sounds great. £40...stupid not to

Likewise...I've had one in my 182 and just got the missus one for her mk3...but the latest ones charge the device too...which mine didnt until I got a 12v to 5v converter.

daymn, well yer i guess its just wires after all. kinda wish i did this now when i got my sub, but then i have a pioneer hu so cant reli complain anyway lol

Standard also. Much prefer the look now I'm not 17.
Got an Aux in adaptor from MT Audio, and in my previous Clio used an adaptor to convert speaker wires to pre-outs for amped component speakers.
But can't be bothered with any of that now!

im not on the standard hu anymore but considering going back tbh as im missing my steering controls already unless someone can tell me if i can get a cable to hook my fli swat5 up to the steering controls

Mine's standard, mainly because i don't want to touch the abortion of the 'splicing' on the back of it the previous owner has done :S

Would go for a alpine something or other with ipod connection if possible.

I have standard in the ph1, with cd changer, just use fm transmitter for iPod!
Had decent head unit in my old car, until it got broken in to and knicked!
So I'm not bothering again
