The gf has bought a clio, T reg, 1.2 Grande. We wanna know if the alloys come as standard for the insurance company. Its got 14" on at the moment, and asking for the insurance company. They want £290 now, but £500 with the alloys....

What you think.?

say i bought an RT, and put Phase 2 Valver Alloys on (which i want to) would it be best to tell them?

I wouldnt bother as the wheels are renault ones its easy to plead ignorance and say you didnt realise. I havent told them about my dynamique wheels anyway!

if its like the champs elysse (spelling) it may well have alloys as standard as a few of the special edition models came with them. if thats the case then you shouldnt really need to inform the insurance company as they are not a modification.

incidentally, whats the difference between a 1.4 RT and a 1.4 RT Camps Eleeys? Someone told me it was drivers airbags, alloys and a few other things like that - but what else? as an RT is group 5 insurance, and a Champs Eleeys is group 7

Champs Elysees - have a few extra little bits:

Alloys (quite dodgy ones), slightly wider tyres than, Electric windows/door mirrors, lumbar support seats/height adjustable, remote stereo stalk, sunglasses case in dash - clutching at straws now! Still basically a 1.4 RT though..
