Do you need to run/wear an exhaust in?

You don't do you? Missus noticed mine was smelling a bit after gettin it fitted today and i said twas norm as its fresh and it'll pass (as it did), but her matey on the phone was trying to say it sould be driven a certain way for the first few drives? i said it was utter bull...

i'm right right? lol

The smell is most likely to be the exhaust paste they have used, this will go after the exhaust has been hot for a wail i have also none stickers to be left on them as well, which will also smell. as for taking it easy never heard that before.

lol, jst had a 200 mile trip home... would you say that was enough.. couldnt really take it easy on the m25.

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
yea 200 miles is fine. you dont really need to bed them in, how was the job mate? was charlie black and 5ft?

Couldn't be further from it.
Exhaust is awesome. So happy with it. POst a bit in my other thread in mechanical/tuning as i didnt want to have too many threads running at once.

Deffo a trip worth making ben... even popped into cardiff bay to see that dodgy building out of torchwood.

The steel is coated in some kind of oil im sure, mine stank everytime it got hot for a while. soon goes tho. the sound changes too after a few hundred miles

dont need running in but they do run in. as Burp said the noise changes etc but thats just the exhaust building up a layer of carbon(?)

mine (prospeed) has got much better sound wise, love it now, reserved judgement at first as it was a little harsh

My Prospeed stank after a good run for the first couple of weeks. Quite liked it :approve:

As said its just something they use when making it burning off a little.
