Dodo Spin Doctor

  LY 220 Trophy+IB PH1
Was luckily enough to receive a Spin Doctor from my friends for my birthday, has anybody got any tips on what pads/compound to use for Pearl Black paint ?

What's people's experience with it like ? :)

I got one as well, it's not the best rotary machine out there to be honest, but still works well. If your not experienced with it i would try to start out on a test-panel from the scrapyard. If you are unexperienced you can harm the paintwork.

As for pads/polish, visit the various detailing websites or do a search, this question is being asked almost daily.:dead:

Do you have experience with a rotary?

Noob + High start speed Rotary = Possible disaster.

I was just looking for peoples experiences really, mainly with this polisher as it works different from a dual action (Which I've experience with) and I've seen poorboys products etc and looked around :) just wondering what people rate and don't rate when it comes to compound :D

Well initial thought's are good Cerrone, Compared to the ones i've held in the past the dodo is pretty light and the display is pretty cool allowing you to alter the speeds in smallish increment's
The only down side I found is that you don't get a backing plate or pads but that's likely true of any polisher :)

Ill get some before and afters once i've got what pads and compound I need :)

All sounds ok then!! Iv heard that the display is good!

Rotary for a newb (Aimed at Cerrone :)) is a no no. Personally.

I have heard a few good things about this device, but see no reason to spend the money as already rotary'd up :)

Pads, the usual answers. 3M, LCC hydro's. The Sonus pads last forever, shame I can't find ones in a decent size!
