Does an induction kit make a difference?

I have a 182. Does an induction kit make a difference? as I am looking at buying one but dont want to waste any money.

5 bhp or somehting. Noise, and a noticable amount of power gain, allthough not a huge amount, at high revs.

i wouldnt bother, id stick with your 35 miles to the b*****d. Yes, it does drink petrol.

Makes one hell of a noise, like an Impreza when you floor it!

Its more for the sound really!

Is that with the cold air feed pipe connected to the BMC ? Wheres the end of the pipe left, inside engine bay or down near wheel arch lining ?

The pipe is left inside the engine bay! Will need to get a proper cold air feed sorted out soon.

Loss of torque and a really lacklustre engine in the summer with an open kit

BMC or Maxogen probably okay though.

In isolation, just amkes a whole lotta noise. Really need remap to get the most out of it.

Hard to tell really, only driven the car for about 10 minutes with the induction kit on it!

I'll tell you at the end of the day when I have had the chance to test it properly.

Get a replacement P.filter. i ran a K&N with a feed mounted in the grill and found that it was ok out on the b.roads but in town seemed to suck so much heat. some days it felt really slow if id been at some lights etc dont think the increase is much too.. Sounded great tho. igt p.filter is great and you still get the 4.5K cam power hit too

For the noise it makes and induction kit is definitely worth the cash. Makes em sound like they should!!

I had one on my 172 and the missus has one her 182 and it definitely makes it more satisfying to drive. IMO anyway.

i have a bmc on mine and highly recommend them for the money i dont think there is anything better to be honest..viper filters are just too small and for 250!!! jesus!!!

Clio sports sound gash when standard IMO. Got a BMC CDA and makes it sound about 172% better

Or when the car comes on cam.
