I am looking into an air filter/induction. I know the induction will be able to produce better air flow, but I do not want the buzzing noise at cruising speeds I've heard of.

I'm all for a bit of deep grumbling when jumping out the hole, but is the noise intrusive when driving normally or motorway cruising ?

on the subject of air filters any1 know if it is possible to get a k&n or other makes filter on a 1.2 dnt think it is a 16v tho coz its a 98 model thanks . . .

Go onto the K+N website and it should tell you, the fact it's not 16v has nothing to do with the type of filter it will have so yes, you'll be able to put a filter on it.

I have a kn filter, the car feels a little better but at full throtle you listen a Brooooommmm

1.2 clios, you may as well get a k&n for the noise. But guys on here with the 172/182 will say don't get it because it affects performance by sucking in hot air. (No offence, but on a 1.2 this won't make much difference) Go for a filter boys!:o

57-0358 should be the k&n part number you are after. Its the one I have for my 1.2 8v clio.
