does colour effect value?

  work for BMW
So let's talk about 182 for example , does colour effect for how much they are worth?
For example RB is popular but does it sell for more then lets say black?

  White clique
It affects saleability rather than value IMO, there are people who will buy even the dodgy colours but just less of them around. Therefore some people drop their price just to get a faster sale.

Certainly the premium I.D colours do add about £500.00 but at the end of the day the car is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it. You could say that some mods and options may devalue the car or have the potential to increase the value. It's what the buyer is looking for and they will be swayed by things like condition, mileage, spec, has it been modified etc. The colour may be what draws then to the car originally.

Not because i own one but how anyone can say one colour is worth more is bulls**t.

Someone somewhere will prefer arctic against, say, black.

It only takes one person to want it.

really does depend on the car aswell!!! i paid £4000 for my inferno which i thought was about right with treadlines and 40,000 miles with history!and it is mint i must admit! i looked at a mint silver one in the same condition and it was £2700!
but i couldnt live with myself if i bought a car not the colour i wanted!
But how much less do you think they are worth? A big margin?

True I guess it's up to a person to decide what they are willing to pay.
I always think about swapping my RB for BG but I'm too scared I'll loose money when I sell the BG

  Clio 182 inferno
I paid £5k for my inferno in january
Had no cup packs but was in good condition, full service history, 34'000 miles and one lady owner.
Had crap tyres but the car was mint.
I still think to this day that i paid over he odds for it. However it had just had the belts done so ive saved money there.

Did i pay over the odds because of the colour?

Lose money?

Are you kidding? Have you seen the price of 182's in general and just how many are for sale? Depreciation isnt something id be worried about with 182 ownership:S

It all depends on many different things. You're very unlikely to find two cars that are exactly the same bar colour.

But if it was fully serviced, belts, history, cup packs etc etc. Then a RB would be more than AB. That's just the way it is. Ironic really as you had to pay for Arctic and Racing was free. Lol.

Surely the common colours are common because they're popular? Petrol blue may be worth more to an enthusiast, or liquid yellow to a girl, but surely most people will be looking for the most popular colours? CS isn't the whole country. Normal people buy Clios too.

This, some one out the loop wont have a clue that petrol blue was only 1 of however little of them there were

Nope. Nothing deleted.

So it was obvious Ad was going to think the comment was aimed at him. That's why people should use the quote function.

A nicer colour will be worth more because it's a nicer colour. But then it's personal preference. So that makes my first statement redundant. Hmmm.
