Does my car have "A vavle breather" renault reckon its does?

hey, took my car back the other day to renault (under warrenty for a tapping noise at 100rpm, gets faster at 1250rpm then any higher it goes away) anyway he said they all do it, its the valve breather, yours just does it louder?! WTF!? Vavle breather!? why the fook does the valve need a breather, although im probily wrong, so any help would be greatful.

I think its the Charcoal Cannister he means..... its job is to evaporate petrol fumes. And yes, its a tappety wee bugger. Does exactly what you discribed and alot of clios do it, including mine.
