My car was broken into

Hey. So i've had my Renault clio 06 plate about a year now (almost). I know its getting on a bit but it was all I could afford as a first car! Especially with the insurance prices now... wtf...
Anyway, 2 nights ago, i woke up to find the drivers door open slightly. Rest of the car still locked but my door was open... No damage at all. They haven't broken anything, just somehow opened the door? Checked the CCTV footage to see that some scumbag went through and stole my sunglasses (hidden in the glovebox). Feel so violated that someone has done this. Especially with it being parked on my driveway. But anyway, after checking the footage time and time again, it was definitely locked. So how the hell did they get in? Its made me feel so nervous about leaving it anywhere if they can get in so easily? Is this some sort of issue? Anyone know how they did it without making a sound? There are a few marks down the door by the lock, like something has been wedged in there but other than that nothing... And they might have been there before? I have no idea what so ever. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Same thing happened to mine no tell tail signs of entry

Stole quite a lot of stuff from mine probably left it unlocked to be honest

Sorry to hear that. scum bags. But I know for a fact I locked it so don't be surprised if you did too! There must be some piss easy way for them to get in?

I have no idea but there is a rise in car theft especially keyless cars.

Funny or not this happened to our qashqai over the weekend. Either chances and checked if it was unlocked or she left the door open slightly getting the little one out.

Sunglasses got taken and inside was a bit messier than normal.

Probably unlocked the driver's door by mistake. Press twice to open the rest of the doors.

Checked the CCTV footage and watched myself check the door after i locked it. Wish it wasnt dark so i could see how he got in. only managed to see the thug when he was already in the car and my lights came on

Pull the top of the door back slightly, get it by where the seal is, simples.

They came and got it same day i reported it to them. unfortunately its a piss poor camera. And its on the other side of the house

Never thought of that. Bit of a design flaw a suppose to have a button so easily accessible that opens the bloody thing

That really is a poor camera!! I’ve got a cheap £150 amazon setup and even that beats the above!

Although I need to blow the cobwebs off!!

Thats bloody good! Mines okay in the daytime but at night when you need it its crap. Think Ill have to check amazon

You may wanna start leaving the gloxbox empty and open, chances are the person will probably come back if the car is that easy to get in.

I guess there's some comfort in that nothing was damaged, could have slung a brick through the window and then tossed the car.

I've got a 1080 iGeek camera off Amazon when they were on sale for £35 and even that's better quality than yours!
