Does the radio stalk come off?

I'm trying to take the cowl off below the steering rack/wheel in search of a creaking noise! and can't seem to get it over the radio stalk! Do you have to take the steering wheel off to get the cowl off or does the radio stalk come off?

any advice would be appreciated!

Take the top of the cowl off, then you should be able to see a clip on the radio stalk from above. Push this down with a flat blade and the stalk should pull out.

Be careful the clip is quite fragile.

Yeah as above be carefull, ive broken my clip rendering the whole thing useless!
