Does this look right?

Was about to remove the rear spring platforms to make car lower but just noticed the spring doesn't sit right. :S

The end of the spring is digging into the platform and has worn one part down to the metal.

Any ideas?

ive removed my rear platforms,
makes a difference,

and i took the rubber hat off the top,

just clunks abit more,

sorry after reading your question,
are you sure its not because once jacked up, the rear axle is at a completey different angle to when it is sitting on the floor??

With all the ones i've fitted they tend to bind like that when first fitted, if you jack just the trailing arm up whilst the car is still on the stands the spring tends to seat properly once the platform is vertical enough.

Normally once the spring is fitted it will bed itself naturally when get in the car. You sometimes hear a small twang which is the spring slipping properly onto it's seat.
