Does willy use same wiring loom as 16v

yes IIRC. Isnt it just the ECU that differs

I think there are loom differences, tho it depends on age rather than wether a loom is 1.8 or 2ltr

You really need to use the loom that was originally fitted to the car as i found out recently, the wiring to the plugs in the relay box are in different places and i was left without a fuel pump but oil pressure when the engine wasnt even running. then had to swap the looms on the engine while still fitted to the car.

Although,

Saying that, i have had a Willy engine go straight into a 16v and work fine off the willy loom?!?

Best off checking the two plugs in the relay box.
