Door Cards

Has any one took the door cards out of a mk2 and re-trimmed them?

Im wanting to do it but it looks like i will strugle to get it off then back on!

The door cards are easy but not sure how to take the fabric off

Yeh, the cars at bodyshop so ive been thru and piked the door cards up. Cant see a way of getting the fabric bit off and retrimming it and getting it back on! i think it should just pull off but dont wana risk it.

Will after gu 2 a scrappy and test it on 1 there!

to put it back on, (thats if you get it off) you could use a hot glue gun, but it is a bit brittle and could come away, otherwise apply copydex to both surfaces leave til tacky and push together, that worked a treat on mine

can i use a glue gun to reheat and get it off?

dunno mate, i had a mark 1 when i did it so they material bits litterally pulled off with a bit of help of something slim down the back, call somewhere maybe like carisma or something they may have experience in it, but for re-applying i would use copydex as above
