how easy is it to replace my Mk2 Ph1 door cards with the 172 ones?

Fairly simple. The hardest thing is that you have to extend the electric window wires by about 4 inches as the switches are much higher up. And even that is straight forward! Very worthwhile

so how do i go about getting the old ones off?

Take off the mirror surrond and the bit of plastic going up the door. Then undo the 4 screws at the bottom, the handle and disconnect the window switches. The panel is then held in by a few plastic clips and really sticky black stuff. You have to pull the panel off the door and upwards to remove it.

ta. seems easy enough. now i just need to find some 172 cards.....
