Door Transplant

Today or tomorrow (when I can get another set of hands to help) I need to swap a door on my 182 that was damaged a few weeks ago when it was broken into. I've read a few threads that mention about needing some specialist tools to remove the pins etc that hold the door on. Can it be done without these? Also, I watched a video that I thought was for removing a door, but it turns out its just for the panel. It mentions however, that you need to remove a plug for the airbag. I assume beforehand I should disconnect the battery and leave it for 30-60 minutes so the airbag doesn't go off? Or is there no need to do this?

I'm not really sure what I'm dealing with until I tackle it so any guide/pointers are more than welcome, at least that way I'll have a jist of what I'm up against before I start stripping my door down.

Thanks for any help.

I just disconnect the battery, disconnect large door connector (things it's from inside irrc). Get some one to hold the door. Mask up the area's around the hinges. Undo the check strap. You will see two hinges, remove the little securing clips off each pin. It's then a simple case of bashing the pins out of the hinge. Just be carefull with the hammer and the surrounding paint. Remember the door is heavy and don't drop it when it goes!
