down pipe probs

in one of my previos posts about me getting a 172 some one has said its got down pipe probs and that there was a bad batch ?? dont know if this is directed towards the exact car im going to see or about the 172 in general?? what problems would this cause & what are the symptoms to be looking out for? thanks

keh? never heard about this. Don't see what could be majorly at fault. The downpipe/cat unit is quite well made (if not that well designed for flow).

Is is Phase2 or Phase1?

phase 1, just passed its MOT, had both lamba sensors changed aswell,

the only downpipe problem i can see is that it doesnt have one
