downshifting query

sometimes when i shift down a gear, and i'm rolling and then go to accelerate, (as if slowing down to pull out from a side road) the car seems to almost stutter before it will pull, it feels like it hasn't gone into gear properly or something? but then is totally fine once away.
could this be a problem?

Id say you are not matching your speed/revs with the next gear.

Although that would be one jump and normal

i thought that, but its almost like the gear needs an extra push to get into gear before it will pull!

Clio's have been known to have a bad syncro thingymabob lol

Not sure if that causes what you are experienceing, only a few times has my car not gone into gear (1.2 AND 172) I just have to depress the clutch again and select gear.

Check your gearbox oil level.
