as above, never had to drill something out before, these things are solid, ive had the blow torch on it, rattled it to bits with a massive hammer its still twisting torx bits lol

any advice?

Get a more expensive torx bit and get it on a breaker bar.

These are notorious for sticking though, so grab a 6mm drill bit and drill it out if necessary. One of mine has been drilled out.

Yeah, most just never bother, the only problem is ever causes is that the disc can spin slightly on the hub which means you may need to line it back up when taking that wheel off, it's not the end of the world though, never bothered me.

This happened on the rear of our Mini, had to smash the disc off. What a f**king pain.

drill the head, but not all the way, then t**t disc with hammer and the head will ping off leaving you enough "meat" to get some grips onto

Cant you tap it round with a punch and a hammer? its what I always do as when I come across this

torx bit in a socket, then a good size breaker bar, but give it a good soak in wd40 first, you can always clean the disc after,

Impact gun is a much better way to get them moving. big bars just round the torx out way too easily. I do go through a fair amount of torx bits though :(

this is what ive been doing, its not rounding anything its just twisting torx bits until they snap! decent halfords professional ones too, this car hasnt done many miles in years so the discs are ancient!

i drilled the f**k out of mine, just before the drill cleared the head it "bit" onto the bolt and screwed it free :D

How? The drill should be spinning clockwise which would technically tighten the screw if it gripped. You must of been drilling a long time if you had the drill goin the opposite way!

good wording. "going radge as fuk at them" proper scottish haha.

normally when you give them a good dunt with a hammer or even use an impact wrench on em they come out. i never tighten them sh*te tight when putting them on.

ive had a few stick before but never had an issue a sharp impact and they come off, but these were seriously seriously tight i think someones put them on with an impact gun and then never changed the discs in years!
