Drivers door clicks then opening. Check Arm?

Whenever I open my drivers door it makes a horrible single click. Is this the check arm?

I've looked and all the bolts seem to be tight. What can I do to fix this?

If someone could post pictures too this would help.

Check its oiled /WD40'd up.

It's the check strap thats gone. Mine was doing the same thing.

It takes about 20 minutes to replace and they're about £25 or so from Renault.

Can someone post pictures or a guide on how to change the check arm.

Do I need to take off the door panel - I don't know how to do this.

Would it be the "check arm" if it did this on the passenger door, it's never happened to me before, then suddenly happens every time on passenger door as of yesterday?

The guide here tells you how to remove the door card:

Then there's two nuts on the checkstrap and a bolt into the door pillar that you need to remove. The strap pulls out through the door then fit the new one in the reverse order.

Takes 20 minutes tops.

check bolt isnt loose thats what happened to mine.

i bet its just the bolt loose that holds the door to car
