drivers side door closed switch

Hi all,
The drivers side door switch on my 172 ph1 doesn't seem to be working (doesn't activate interior light when door is open). I was wondering if it's possible to remove the pin switch externally from the door seal or whether i need to start removing internal trim to access it? Any advice or pictures you can provide would be much appreciated.

mines the same and not had a reply as of yet mate, passenger side window is shagged too

Pull door seal off near area and then pull away the interior trim to access behind the switch and replace. Few minute job.
