driverside electric window

hi guys a car i am looking at has a problem with its driverside electric window not working, was just wondering if this was a common fault, what the likely causes are and how much it will cost to put right

Sounds like the plastic thingie in its gone.

£60 ebay etc you cna buy them for equite easy to chnage it strip the door panel down etc.
