does anybody know the size of the driveshaft nut for a 172 please and what should it be torqued up to? drivers side shaft is knackered

yeh was thinking it might ft lbs as its only 160, dnt get anymore old school than kenny. got a feeling its gona be a pain to do i aint looking forward to it

the outer boot drivers side has split and has pi$$ed grease out everywhere, i want to replace whole shaft save me doing it all again if the inner one goes

So thats 175Nm for the hub nut and 90Nm for wheel bolts?

job done, was real easy as the track rod end and the bearing had not seized it alll came apart very easy, new one in... well looks like a reconditioned one from renault. they must make alot of money reconditioning them and selling them again, are they aloud to charge VAT on a reconditioned part?

£160 including VAT, its on an exchange basis, i kept my old one as im gona repair it as a spare but if you return your old one to them its £150. they charge you £10 to keep a part which is yours anyway!!! then refub it and sell it again at the above price! they must make a killing.
