hi, im looking for a offside driveshaft for my Clio 182 and wondered what prices im looking for and where to buy from? and links would be fantastic! cheers in advance

Buy genuine, I had problems with pattern ones from other motor factors. They're around 200-250 quid!

exchange basis? dont mean to sound dumb but what does that mean. the garage quoted me 130 for the part with one years warranty if it breaks?! where do i buy a genuine part from? is there a site or will i have to ring the stealers. thanks

Cost me 200 odd quid supplied and fitted by a stealer. That was the nearside though.

exchange basis = the drive shafts are refurbished units, and they will sur-charge you for this, then refund that when they get the old part.
'geuine' parts = no such thing - dealers don't make there own parts, for example - the factors i work for sells Fram filters, they also make filters for several car manufacturers and put it in a box marked 'geuine' - its total rubbish

I got 2 driveshafts for £120 from Andrew Page motor factors, they were for a megane coupe but they're virtually identical shafts.

My mate who races a pug 306 uses exchange drive shafts,he breaks at least one a meeting (because they are crap)but he just sends them back and gets another one.

Think he would be better off getting proper ones to start with,but he is a bit "Pikey"

eurocarparts dont have any for Sport models plus dont have a motor factors around me so im guessing renault it is then

Some motor factors do do them. You'd be talking about 100 from a motor factors. Phone these guys and ask them who they supply near you http://www.drivelink.com/.
