Will a 182 passenger drive shaft fit a 172?

very good question. The 182 design had changes made to the front hubs/bearings. They are bigger than the 172 hubs. This most probably means that there is also a difference in the driveshafts (length) .

ABS ring is wider on one of them. Think it's to account for the hub difference. I've fitted 182 hubs to a 172 without changing shafts, no issue. I've also swapped a 182 shaft onto a 172 with no issue
