  172 Cup
I know theirs loads of threads about this but still havent found a yes or no answer, I have a 172cup, want 2 new drive shafts, will 172 non cup shafts fit a 172cup, car will be getting lowered a little soon. I have found a phone number for Adam who seems to pop up quite a bit in other thread, so will be calling him tomorrow for a price.

Cooksport list drive shafts on their website and seem quite reasonable but there only listed under 172/182 sport drive shafts.

Thoughts and opinions please.

Cheers

172 cup drivers side is longer than a 182. 182 o/s is split as it goes into a carrier bolted to the back if the engine, where a 172 cup does not ?

I think.....

Anyone got anymore info? The Cup shafts seem way more expensive??

They're more expensive because they're bespoke to that model which was made in a fewer numbers. This means the overall tooling cost is spread over a smaller number of parts which results in each unit costing more relative to the standard model's.
