1.2 172 conversion
My passenger side cv joint is sarting to go could i use a 1.2 driveshaft or would it just rip it to bits..engine is a 172

does it have 172 wishbones?
if so you can only use a 172 shaft.

Have you fitted 172 suspension (hubs, wishbones and shafts already)?
I would go for the 172 if the above has been done which I assume it would have been if it's a proper conversion.
If you have a 1.2 shaft then I'd see if a 172 CV fits (splines, length) and fit that.

Yes was proper conversion everything from the 172 went onto it..will just buy a shaft seems easier was worth asking though
