driving through deep puddles

Anyone have experience of how deep you can drive a clio through a puddle.

Where i live (isle of wight) there tends to be floods around 2 feet deep and jsut wondering how much the clios can handle.

My rover 416 handled the floods ok, as long as rpms were kept up.

on new clios the air feed is quite high up so you will be ok. it was old clios and 172s/182s that have a low feed pipe just behind the bumper.

also u want to make sure u keep a steady throttle, just so that you keep the gasses flowing out of the exhaust, the last thing you want is for water to be sucked back through towards your engine

thats cool! will make sure i do that then!

The clio i am getting is a standard 1.4 dynamquie, so not lowered or anything, how deep you reckon it could go in a puddle / stream, best to know a rough estimate as i see some interesting forecasts for this winter!

I wouldnt do anything more than 1ft of water. And if I did it would be at low speed to stope water splashing up. Went thorugh 2ft water in my R5 once and it would start for 2 days lol
